The maker

Philly boy turned Florida man.

That’s how Steve describes himself, and it’s about as accurate as anything you’ll read here. Here’s the longer version.

The Philadelphia years

Learning on old houses.

Steve spent nearly two decades on custom home builds and historic renovations in and around Philadelphia. Old houses teach you things new construction never will: how to scribe a board to a wall that hasn’t been straight in a century, how to make new trim disappear into old, and why the extra hour is always worth it.

2018

South, to the Gulf.

He moved to Southwest Florida in 2018 and kept doing finish carpentry, the built-ins, ceilings, mantels and accent walls that make a house feel finished. More and more, though, he found himself on the fun, unnecessary work: one-off pieces designed around a single family’s house and taste.

Now

Slabs, rivers and the occasional dog.

Today that means live edge and river tables, walnut countertops and islands, floating mantels, and carvings that have come home from shows with blue ribbons. Every piece is designed and built by Steve, and delivered anywhere from Sarasota to Naples.

“Whether you know exactly what you want, or need help shaping your vision, we’ll bring your ideas to life with the absolute highest attention to detail. The more unnecessary the work, the better.”

Renovation-grade standards

Twenty years of fitting new work into old houses means miters that close, reveals that stay even and nothing that wobbles.

One maker, start to finish

The person you talk to is the person who picks your slab, pours your resin and carries the table in.

Built for the Gulf Coast

Wood moves in Florida humidity. Slabs are acclimated before they’re worked, and finishes are chosen for sun, salt air and real life.
